The PPGRH is inserted in the concentration area called Water Resources: Management and Conservation, with three lines of research:

  • i) DYNAMICS OF SURFACE AND UNDERGROUND WATER RESOURCES: aims to evaluate the potential, availability and vulnerability of water resources, as well as to investigate the influence of surface dynamics processes such as erosion, mass movements and siltation.
  • ii) PLANNING AND MANAGEMENT OF WATER RESOURCES: evaluates aspects of water quality, related to land use and occupation, in addition to organizing and integrating information about water resources, in order to subsidize the planning and management of these resources.
  • iii) HYDRAULICS AND SANITATION: is dedicated to the study of design, operation and maintenance of basic sanitation facilities and hydraulic structures. In addition to developing technologies for the treatment of water, effluents and solid waste.
